I think I first thought this up (and posted it in the fediverse) last year after dad claimed that soy milk makes you more feminine (he genuinely believes this)

To quote myself from earlier this year (or maybe last year):

I want to own DVDs of the complete series of Serial Experiments Lain, but it’s fucking expensive because DVDs of the complete series have been out of print for ages now and Amazon and eBay sellers love flipping DVDs that have been out of print for ages for hundreds of dollars.
