Wait, is this using 802.11b or g Wi-Fi? Because I’m pretty sure that with 802.11n, this scp operation I started 2(?) hours ago would already be done by now, even with my music library taking up as much hard drive space as it does because I use FLACs.

Oh, NetBSD’s in-built driver doesn’t support anything higher than 802.11g.

@wyatt I have an Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300. (I forgor the actual model number, and I’m not gonna bother pulling up the photo to find out (if the photo wasn’t deleted))

@me send me postage

but also since you're probably on the t510 you'll need to flash the bios to a version without a whitelist.

If you can't find one you'll have to modify the bios to have the ID of the card you want to use in its whitelist which requires a bunch of extra work. I did it on mine but for a different card than these I think. (Just checked, it has an AR5BHB92 card with HP branding in it. The AR5BXB92 card I just swapped in works in the T510 with my modded bios so if i kept the modded bios file around i can just give you that.)

@me never mind it doesn't seem to be showing up in the slot i stuck it in, there are two slots inside and only one is full size

you need an AR5BHB92 with that HP part number if you want to use my bios, assuming i can even find the files
